Non-Standard Installation Paths
If you still cannot find your Community folder, or if you installed it to a non-standard path, then you can find it by doing the following:
- Navigate to the Microsoft Flight Simulator General Options, then choose the Developer tab.
- Turn on the Developer mode.
- Navigate to the "Tools" menu on the new top toolbar, then click the "Virtual File System" button.
- Open the "Packages Folders" dropdown, then click the "Open Community Folder" button.
This will open your Community folder. Be sure to note down where it is located for future reference.
We recommend turning Developer Mode back off after you have found your Community folder.
Installing Your Aircraft
Now that you have found your Community folder, you can install the aircraft by extracting the download into your Community folder.
Double click your downloaded .zip file, then drag the flyingiron-<aircraft name> folder into your Community folder.
Updating Your Aircraft
In order to update your aircraft, you must navigate to your Community folder and delete the old version of the aircraft. After you have done this, double-click your newly downloaded .zip file, then drag the flyingiron-<aircraft name> folder into your Community folder.
